weird christmas eve.

had the weirdest christmas eve ever. it started off well, wanted to watch movie with my bie clique. too bad the queues at lido stretched for miles, box office was almost disappearing in the horizon. cineleisure's fully booked for the night. lesson learned: never try to watch movie on christmas eve unless u buy them in advance( at least 6 hrs). any how, dinner was settled at sakae sushi. had some really nice sushi there, ate my fav. hana machi. the sake rice wrapped with fresh salmon topped with roe and jap mayo, heavenly. joel was at his best again, talking non-stop. i could literally see words coming out of his mouth like in a jap anime. sure was entertaining. o, i found out joel wasn't a fan of sushi. so he had to call something that is fully cooked, like the beef bento. it was fascinating, watching joel talk and eat at the same time. every time he talks for 15mins, he'll have a scoop of rice and a piece of beef. then he continues for another 10-15mins. this cycle repeated itself for like 2 hrs and he didnt manage to finish his food. kudos to joel. i can see him in the future joining the ranks of glenn ong and corp, where he can talk all he wants on radio. after a entertaining dinner, we proceeded to meet up with the gers, who went shopping on their own. on the way to meet them, we detoured to the carnival and various shops cos my tudi wanna buy stuff. lol we were like her bodyguards, following her around, kinda funny. after meeting up with da gers, we went towards wheellock, in search of some cafe to rest our tired legs. that is when the horror begins. the streets were packed, with people. lining the streets were spray can vendors, spraying the crowd. it was hell trying to move in the chaos. then out of no where, a group of indian nationals appeared in the crowd and pushed violently through the crowd. we were like pushed front and back, front and back, and at the same time dodging from pple spraying foam. it was crazy i tell ya. how i wish i had a bomb to clear a path through them. we managed to push our way out n gathered at wheellock. poor derek, while moving through the pple, he lost his handphone. what a christmas eve. we left the place after that traumatic experience. i just hate crowd.

stephen chow a.k.a "xing yea"

had a unexpecting surprise at cine today. was meeting garrie for dinner and we chance upon the premiere of kung fu hustle. after having my favourite vongole at pasta mania, we went to wait for stephen chow's arrival. just wanted to take some live pics of a real star. before the real star came, there were some kung fu demostration. some of the stars that came to watch the premiere was liang zhi qiang and gang. then there was sly and taufik. apparent the malay gals infront of me came just to see taufik. when taufik left for the cinema, the malay ger fans left. lol i wonder y pple support singapore idol. anyhow, i waited for 1hr + stephen chow finally came at 8.30. kinda cool seeing him live in singapore. just luv all his movies, simply hilarious. took a few shots of him and his cast. there was this gorgeous lady beside him. apparent she's a new actress spotted by him. then there is a bruce lee lookalike. the uncanny resemblence is startling. after all the woo haa, they all proceeded to watch the premiere and i too took my leave. went walking around orchard and saw this guy performing on the violin outside paragon. just reminds me of my violin playing days. if it wasnt for my lousy teacher, i probably would have continue my violin. too bad he killed my interest. any how that guy was playing all the nice christmas songs and a very very nice rendition of variations on holy holy night. superb playing, his fingers was moving like little elves dancing on the violing. he was so into the music that after finishing, he was like so happy, shouting "PRAISE THE LORD!". Amen indeed. met i-ta,jeremy and david at hereen. lol funnie guys.
almost crashed into the barricades in the carpark. i took for granted that the erp thingy would be automatic like ALL shopping center carparks. the barricades didnt go up and i accelerated. lucky i stopped in time, if not ill be sooooo embarassed. aye thats the problem with automatic cars, so easy to make the car move. if it was manual i probably be spending some time changing the clutch and stuff and would notice the barricade wasnt up. next car : mini cooper. red, my red mobile.

christmas is coming. project isn't finish.

sunny sunday.

had an infurating experience with a catholic at the book shop in church. i was asking for a copy of the catholic news and the lady was reluctant to help me get a copy. only after i told her there weren't any copies left at the church's entrance, did she start to look for a copy below the desk. she placed the catholic news infront of me saying "it's more then a dollar" and she pointed at this little donation tin can which was labelled "church maintence donation". i was infuriated. the catholic news was suppose to be free and donations was welcomed. but noooo... that lady wanted me to donate and even told me how much i needed to donate. money, the church has like tons of it from all the offerings every week from so many services. where the heck did all the money go to? i never seen the church donate to any charities and if they wanted to, they'll have a second collection. wth?? this doesn't even include all the private donations made to the church by many wealthy people. *sigh*. o well, if its not for my mum i won't go to a catholic church. all the weird doctrines that was not even mention in the bible. and it all came from men. if catholics started to read the bibles, they'll know the truth. o well.

caught Ocean's 12 today. the plot was witty but alittle convoluted. the starstudded cast was a draw and many gers probably wanted to watch brad pitt in action. if the heist in the show was real, it would be way cool. stealing in style. but such fictitious events will only happen in the films.

orchard was exceptionally crowded today, probably cos of the parade. watched like 5 mins of the parade and went for dinner, totally boring. the STB really needs to rework the parade. the performance felt like chingay, not christmas. we couldn't decide on where to go for dinner so we settled on pasta mania. what a bad choice it was. the scotts outlet was packed. dinner was unenjoyable. the area was too cramp, people walk in and out and i had to keep positioning myself. ugh...

when i came home i had a real surprise. my dad upgraded the scv topset to DIGITAL one! and he suscribed more channels for my view pleasure! woot. channels 1-109, where m i gonna find the time to watch all of it. so much to watch! first thing i wanna watch is carnivale and sex in the city! hbo roxs. and when i have time ill watch discovery and the chinese movie channel 61 n 62 and all the nice dramas on axn n starworld(CSI, buffy, roswell, xfiles etc).

christmas is coming. but something's missing.
